Aiguille du Midi Cable Car (3842m)One of the highest cable cars in the world, in two sections, it will take you on a spectacular aerial voyage, up to Aiguille du Midi surrounded by world-famous summits, forever linked with mountaineering firsts - you will be able to contemplate a unique panoramic view over the Mont Blanc and the Alps. The views are stunning. Chamonix holidays are worth it just for this!

Evasion Walking PassWith this pass take those ski lifts accessible to walkers and gain the snow-covered paths above (e.g. the ridge of Mont d'Arbois). Valid on the cable cars in St Gervais and Megève and the chair lift in Saint Nicolas de Véroce.

Trip To SwitzerlandA popular daytrip is a scenic train ride over the border to Switzerland with the Mont Blanc Express from Chamonix to Martigny, which you can catch at Le Fayet. Once in Martigny visit The Pierre Gianadda Foundation. Another popular stop on the Chamonix - Martigny line is the little Swiss village of Chatelard. From here the steep Chatelard Funicular takes visitors up to the Emosson dam and lake. In the Haute-Savoie (this alpine region) do not miss the colourful weekly markets and their range of local produce. |
