Our advice is to hire the car from the Swiss side, a little bit more expensive than the French side but far less hassle and if you hire from the French side there is an additional Swiss road tax charge of €30. Taxi is a very luxurious way to get to and from Geneva airport - the journey to Les Carroz is quick and comfortable but the price will be from approximately €140 - so unless there are at least two of you travelling this is an expensive transfer. They will obviously drop you off directly at your Les Carroz apartments. This takes approximately 50min.

Getting to Les Carroz (Road and Channel)

By Road

There is direct access to Les Carroz via the Autoroute Blanche motorway (A40), part of the European motorway network. Follow the A40 from Geneva towards Chamonix. Exit at direction Cluses centre, take the N205 direction Sallanches, take the left junction after 3kn signed Les Carroz d'Araches/Flaine. Follow very bendy mountain road, passing through Araches and on up to Les Carroz. Just before the village centre take a sharp right turn signed Les Carroz l'Ouest.

Getting to Les Carroz (Train)

There is a railway station (SNCF) in the centre of Cluses. It links with the TGV (high speed French rail network) Paris - Annecy and directly Paris-Cluses at the weekends. A 20 minute taxi journey to Les Carroz - we can arrange this for you. You will then need to get a transfer up to Les Carroz - see above. For train information please use these links:

Getting Around Les Carroz

By Bus

The buses to the ski lifts are free on production of a lift pass. During the high season the service is very frequent, every 10-15min, but can get very busy. There is a bus stop conveniently located within two minutes walk of each of our Les Carroz accommodation. The bus stops are shown on the map.

 

By Car

There are free car parks at each of the major ski areas.
