By Transfer - Car HireThis is a fast and easy way to get to Chamonix and gives you flexibility for the rest of your holiday. All our Chamonix apartments come with private parking. Our advice is to hire the car from the Swiss side, a little bit more expensive than the French side but far less hassle and if you hire from the French side there is an additional Swiss road tax charge of €30. By Transfer - Public BusThere are daily services between Geneva and Chamonix using the coach company SAT. In Chamonix, departures and arrivals are at the SNCF station, this is right behind our Chamonix apartments (La Ginabelle) and only two minutes walk from our other Chamonix apartments. By Transfer - TaxiTaxi is a very luxurious way to get to and from Geneva airport - the journey to
Chamonix is quick and comfortable but the price will be from approximately €160
for a 5 seater - so unless there are at least two of you travelling this is an expensive
transfer. They will obviously drop you off directly at your Chamonix apartments.
This takes approximately 50min.
By Transfer - TrainThere is a railway station (SNCF) in the airport and in the centre of Chamonix, but you will have to change trains at least twice and the overall journey time is at least 4 hours. For train booking information please use these links: SNCF: www.sncf.com/indexe.htm
Getting to Chamonix (Road and Channel)By RoadThere is direct access to Chamonix via the Autoroute Blanche motorway (A40), part of the European motorway network. An average journey from Calais to Chamonix is 8 hours. Take the A26 towards Bethune, St Quentin, Reims, Troyes, then the A5, A31 towards Dijon, then A39 towards Dole, Bourge en Bresse, then the A40 (Geneva) but you head towards Chamonix. The A40 comes all the way into town. If you get an early channel crossing (about 9am) - you will easily be here in the evening. You can pay all the tolls by credit card.

Getting Around ChamonixBy BusThe buses to the ski lifts are free on production of a lift pass. During the high season the service is very frequent, every 10-15min, but can get very busy. There is a bus stop conveniently located within two minutes walk of each of our Chamonix apartments. The bus stops are shown on the map.
By CarThere are free car parks at each of the major ski areas, except Le Brevent which costs approximately €4 per day.
